Uganda Gorilla Safari Destinations
Uganda is home to two exceptional gorilla trekking destinations that offer unforgettable encounters with endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the country’s premier gorilla trekking destination, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and several habituated gorilla families open to visitors. Its ancient rainforest, rich biodiversity, and scenic landscapes make it the most popular choice for Uganda gorilla safari packages.
For travelers seeking a quieter and equally rewarding experience, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park offers gorilla trekking in the stunning Virunga Mountains. The park is renowned for its beautiful volcanic scenery, rich birdlife, and the opportunity to combine gorilla trekking with the unique Golden Monkey Trekking experience, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

GOOD Based on 568 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor S VVerified Best Experience Ever! I visited the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre on the 27th for my birthday, and it was an amazing experience. The animals were incredible, the staff were friendly, and the environment was beautiful. It made my birthday extra special. Highly recommend visiting!Posted on Tripadvisor Manya_girlVerified I pet a rhino! Absolutely do the behind the scenes! What an amazing experience that will last me a lifetime! I got a personal guided tour including hand feeding giraffes, throwing fruit to the chimpanzees, petting a rhino, and going INSIDE the lions enclosure. Absolutely worth the money.Posted on Tripadvisor P MadgaonkarVerified Pradip Madgaonkar - Excellent Service and Guides, but Needs More Wildlife & Value for Money. The absolute highlight was the service provided. The staff were fantastic, and the young woman who led our tour and explained the animals was incredibly knowledgeable and skillful. Her expertise and enthusiasm truly elevated the visit. The entry fee is $15, and this is where I have a slight reservation. Given the limited number of animals, I question whether the overall experience provides enough value for that $15 charge. While the guiding service is excellent, the center itself needs to be better formalized and organized to fully justify the price and live up to its potential as a national conservation center.Posted on Tripadvisor A DVerified I would recommend to stop by I would most definitely recommend stopping by. We decided to try the behind the scenes tour with my family and it was a wonderful investment. We had a shaving tour guide named Moses and he was extremely knowledgeable and kind. We were able to get very close to the lions, rhinos and giraffes. The little ones with us found this extract fun. There are so many different animals and they work very hard to take care of endangered or hurt animals. The way that they respect that their animals are wild and have boundaries are extremely comforting. I will say be cautious because there are a profusion of large spiders, but it is wildlife and we are in nature. However as a species wholel really enjoyed the day I spent there and would recommend for all.Posted on Tripadvisor P _Verified Good job done very friendly staff and very welcoming. This was an educational trip.so many animals and well treated.Good place for all ages to visit.Posted on Tripadvisor SummiseekerVerified An Unforgettable Wildlife Experience at Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre I had a great time visiting the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and wants to learn more about wildlife conservation.Posted on Tripadvisor A AlojzVerified Great experience 5 stars to the management. The animals are well treated in a very good and clean enviroment. The staff do their work 100% perfect. We loved the whole experience.Posted on Tripadvisor L HolidayVerified Uganda music The nature and culture was fantastic , we enjoyed the very much good warm welcome, the view was splendid and we experienced very good atmospherePosted on Tripadvisor R MVerified Fun morning with the animals The animals appeared to be well cared for and from the Africa regions. Some of the exhibits were closed.
